It’s the most wonderful time of the year, can you feel it? Ladies and gentlemen, it’s New York Fashion Week. So let’s talk Wang, Alexander Wang, who is by far my favorite urban goth in 1999 designer. It’s grimy it’s dirty and it makes me feel like I’m back in high school trying to hit that air duster one time.

So this week we got to see what has been working with since leaving Balenciaga in July. Now for a while now fashion has been hinting that the ’90s are back in style, think Gwen Stefani in No Doubt. This wasn’t Alexander’s best collection and this is me being completely honest and unbiased, now as I mentioned before Alexander just recently left Balenciaga to focus more on his own brand meaning the entire time he was trying to creatively produce for two brands and that’s extremely difficult to not only do but to do well. So let’s get right into it, pieces that stood out and made an edgy statement are pictured below.

This dress y’ all. I am truly left without words yasss. Its everything that I imagine a sexy cowgirl would wear and I’m so here for it. The fringe, do you see the fringe?! It seemed only fitting that this dress closed the show, I mean how could it not?

Again we see black leather fringe but this time paired with olive army green layered atop a what I can only make out to be a…is that? IT IS A MESH TOP!

Now we see the clear late 90’s early 2000’s baggy jean influence. I am not the hugest fan of the pants because personally I wore super baggy jeans that I dragged on the floor to look rugged and cool but let’s be perfectly honest, that is not a good look on anyone. That top though, THAT TOP. With chain straps, Jesus I am done if that is not the edgiest vampire street look then frankly I do not know what is.

Finally, we have a very unisex jumpsuit. If you’re a guy wear this with no shirt under, do like 200 push ups before you go out and watch as the bottoms just flock to you. If you’re a girl or just more feminine, then do the same but just don’t wear a bra or do the push-ups. I love this outfit there are so many things you can do with it, you can cuff the legs up and wear them as shorts you can unbutton the top and wear it down in a casual i-don’t-care-but-really-I-do-look.
